A commercial slip mixture was used in production additional recipes were not necessary for the process. Learnings from the mold making was to leave at least 2 inches of wall thickness and shaping the outer curve of the mold in parallel to the form - for even and continuous liquid capture. The casts were cleaned and shaved to be air dried for two days. Followed by 48 hours inside the kiln. Later each plate was glazed with Amoco food safe glaze series.
