Objects

Emerging objects from speculative food design.

DinnerWEAR

Dinnerware series are building tools for creating a bridge with home dining and fine dining but also a catalyst for social interaction and play. I desired them to be easily approachable by anyone and everyone and handled with curiosity and creativity.

DRESS CODE

What if objects for eating were designed with more allowances in mind? If you were “allowed” to eat in bed with specifically designed eating-in-bed wares. Expectations could change through wearables that are designed to optimize the potential of these spaces.

ServeWEAR

These serve ware series are meant to raise the participant to a conscious state. Displaying the timeline of a snack. What I observed through these dishes were the pacing, the time, and examination that each participant put in till the last bite.

The work illustrates alternately different approaches of how eating could be. My investigations revealed no singular answer but rather a wider

understanding of what potential of dining looks like beyond the table and beyond food itself. Eating is about exploring a ground of taste and

texture, one that can be shaped — only then can one experience a meal.
